I think it's pot luck although one seller in the entertainment category seems to be getting apps approved weekly.

I'm not quite sure how he's been doing it but I've been looking at new releases on entertainment almost daily and his apps keep popping up with updates.
Just checked on apptism and spot on every 7 days so far the developers update is approved.
