That's what i personally do. I try to forget my submitted app and work on an other. In two weeks you've got time to do some work.
Anyway itunes from the developer perpective is definitely not professional grade. Waiting 2 weeks to submit a bug fix and to react to the market is definitely frustrating. I usually have version 1.2 ready when 1.1 is still waiting some approval, this is crazy.
